First Tuesday

On Tuesday 6th December we'll be showing the eye-opening documentary “The Truth Behind The Dash For Gas”.

Produced in 2014 for Frack-Free Somerset, the film is particularly relevant now that the Government has given the go-ahead for the first fracking in the UK.  It examines the potential impacts of fracking and coal-bed methane extraction in Somerset and beyond, clearly showing why we need to keep fighting to keep the UK frack-free

Barclays and fracking

Despite thousands of objections and sustained local and national pressure, Third Energy has been given the green light to frack in Ryedale in North Yorkshire.

On Saturday 29th October, we'll be joining thousands of people around the country to stand in solidarity with Ryedale by campaigning against Barclays Bank, who own Third Energy.  We'll have placards, petitions for people to sign, and a letter to present to the Barclays branch manager. The more people we have on the action, the bigger the impact we can make.  So if you'd like to join us, we'll be outside Barclays in Fareham from 11am to 12pm on Saturday 29th October.
