First Tuesday

On 4th October, we are hosting an evening of films and discussion about the corporate takeover of food, presented by Sue James and Sarah Hilom from Global Justice Portsmouth.

Its food campaign promotes the fight for food sovereignty, to allow farmers to keep control over land and seeds, and to use low-cost, environmentally friendly techniques to feed local communities.  Come and learn more about the campaign and why food sovereignty is an essential component of a sustainable food system.

Speak Up Week of Action

Gosport and Fareham Friends of the Earth will be hosting a coastal walk on Saturday 15th October as part of the Speak Up Week of Action, which aims to celebrate the people, places and things that we want to protect from climate change.

We will be walking along the coast near Warsash, past areas that were washed away in last winter's storms. The frequency and severity of such storms is expected to increase as a result of climate change, and higher sea levels will only add to the problems facing our coastline.

Please join us at the car park opposite the Rising Sun, Shore Road, Warsash at 2.15pm.
